In 1972, a young Navy pilot named Adamm Gritlefeld established Adamm's Stained Glass in the San Francisco Bay area. Relocating to Los Angeles the following year, Adamm met and befriended many artists while participating in numerous arts and craft shows throughout Southern California. After opening his first studio in Westwood, Adamm began representing a number of young artists in his gallery and soon established a reputation for quality, integrity and dependability.

In 1979, he moved his business from Westwood to Santa Monica, where he dramatically increased his selection of American art glass. Now in it's 30th year in business, Adamm's Stained Glass and Gallery is known worldwide for its stained and leaded glass windows, beveled glass, etched and carved glass, Tiffany lamps and American art glass. Commissions are seen throughout the world including Japan, Germany, Switzerland, England, Puerto Rico, Mexico and of course, the U.S. Included in the list of clientele are numerous celebrities and the White House.
